Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide planning and engineering design services for the Charleston Capital Connector Project. The successful firm will be expected to perform the following activities: • communicate frequently and effectively with applicable project stakeholders, including but not limited to the City Manager’s Office, City Engineer’s Office, City Traffic Engineering Department, City Planning Department, City Building Department, West Virginia Department of Transportation, and the Federal Highway Administration; • attend various committee and Council meetings; • engage with members of the public at one or more public input sessions; • conduct an archeological / historic investigation; • conduct soil sampling and testing; • perform environmental reviews & analysis; • perform appropriate level of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) review and documentation, as approved by Federal Highway Administration (FHWA); • perform mapping; etc.
