Specifications include, but are not limited to: Demolition: The existing unit shall be removed and disposed of, to include the condensing unit, air handler with DX coil, duct transitions to unit, and refrigeration piping to pipe sleeve underground. Condensate piping and electrical lines are to be disconnected from the unit to allow for removal. Refrigeration piping is to be removed both indoors and outdoors. The PVC sleeve is to be capped at both ends. R-22 refrigerant is to be reclaimed and disposed of to meet all federal and state requirements.; New equipment: 1. Base bid: Air condenser shall be a Trane 4TTR4060L1 and air handler shall be a TAM4A0C60S51E, placed in the same locations as the current equipment. The hot water coil is duct mounted and is to stay as is. The contractor will provide new duct transitions (supply and return) to connect to the existing duct system. Condensate piping is to be reconnected to the new unit. Provide new refrigeration piping as needed from the new condensing unit to the interior air handler.; 2. Heat pump bid: Bidders may choose to also, or instead, bid to provide and install a heat pump system. Air condenser shall be a Trane TUMYP0601AK42NA and air handler shall be a TPVFYP054AM141A to include associated piping. Bidder shall provide and install a controller that allows the Town to adjust the temperature at which the heat pump turns off (allowing the fuel oil-powered secondary heating system to take over when more costeffective). ; Incidental work: Reconnect power or provide a new circuit as needed. The contractor is responsible for all cutting and patching of the building exterior, making it watertight at project completion, and removal and re-installation of suspended ceiling as necessary for installation. Refrigeration piping is to be insulated to meet 2020 CBES. Exterior refrigeration piping insulation along the building wall, and any other exterior coverings, is to be rated for continuous UV exposure and be moisture proof.
