Specifications include, but are not limited to: Review and stay abreast of changes to both Alaska K-12 State Standard and National CCR standards for Adult Education and English Language Learners (ELL) for academic alignment. • Write Alaska specific College and Career Readiness (CCR) standards for Adult Education and English Language Learners (ELL) to improve curriculum and instruction in alignment with State-adopted challenging academic content standards, as adopted under Section 1111 (b) (1) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act 1965 (20 U.S.C. 6311 (b) (1). • Write Alaska specific Adult Education and ELL Standards to ensure alignment with Alaska’s K-12 Standards and prepare students for the rigor of college level classes, technical training programs, and entry into employment and citizenship classes. • Provide benchmark alignment with the State Standards and provide standardized academic content. • Provide professional development on standards implementation. • Update standards as needed based on changes to either Alaska K-12 State Standard and National College and Career Readiness (CCR) Standards for Adult Education and English Language Learners (ELL).
