Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Division is seeking proposals for a short-term license (3 years) of approximately 75 acres of agricultural land, (“Licensed Area”) consisting mainly of open pasture and silvopasture (the deliberate integration of trees and grazing livestock operations on the same land). The prospective tenant may utilize the Licensed Area for commercial agricultural purposes, which includes pasturing of livestock, or other agricultural uses acceptable to the Division.; The Division of Forests and Lands is responsible for management of the property and wishes to facilitate the continuation of the agricultural use of the land by issuing a license that is in keeping with the conservation purposes for which the land was purchased or given, including forest product production, protection of soils, water quality, wildlife habitat, scenic open spaces, and passive recreational use of the property.
