Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Mowing a. Mowing shall be performed in a workman like manner ensuring a smooth appearance without scalping or allowing excessive cuttings to remain. b. All turf will be mowed with professional quality mulching mower equipment. c. Prior to each mowing remove all litter and debris from lawn areas. d. Park mowing height shall be maintained at a height ranging between 3”-4” for all turf areas in level green. e. Park mowing height shall be maintained at a height ranging between 4”-6” for all turf areas in level blue. f. Park mowing height shall be maintained at a height ranging between 4”-6” for all turf areas in level orange or individually specified by location. g. Immediately following each mowing, all walkways, drives, and other paved areas shall be cleaned of all grass clippings, leaves, and other debris. B. Edging a. All sidewalks, trails, paved areas located within the boundaries of the park shall be kept weed and grass free. b. All turf edges, including but not limited to, sidewalks, patios, drives, curbs, parking lots shall be edged to a neat and uniform line at the edge of the concrete or asphalt. c. Any and all structures including fence lines, around tree bases, shrubs, headwalls, rip rap areas, boulders, sign posts, steps, buildings or other structures, walls, stumps, posts, or anything protruding from the ground shall be neatly trimmed. d. All flower bed edging shall be edged neatly. C. Litter and Debris Control a. All leaves, fallen limbs, other shrub and tree debris shall be removed. This includes leaf removal during the fall and winter seasons. b. Leaves in general shall be mulch mowed, in green zones leaf removal or leaf transfer to blue zone may be required to prevent smothering of turf. c. All litter or trash shall be removed by the contractor from the grounds before mowing. Any litter or trash chopped up during the mowing operation shall be picked up by the contractor before leaving the area. d. All leaves, grass trimmings, twigs, debris shall be removed from curbs, sidewalks, driveways, patios, and all paved areas. e. All mulched flower beds shall have leaves and debris blown out leaving the mulch and plants to be maintained by others. f. All flower beds that are not currently mulched leaf debris shall remain. In autumn leaf fall shall not be allowed to be excessive and adversely affect the plant health. g. Dumping of trash and other debris in the park shall be reported to the maintenance manager for pickup. D. Irrigation a. Vendor responsibility is only reporting to owner any issues with irrigation system. All repairs and irrigation modifications will be completed by City of Little Rock. E. Trees, Shrubs, and vines a. Vines shall be prevented from growing up onto shrubbery, trees, buildings, or any other structure. b. All fallen limbs 6” in diameter and smaller and other tree and shrub debris shall be removed. This does not include debris created from major storms. Debris from storms or large limbs shall be reported to maintenance manager as soon as possible.
