Specifications include, but are not limited to: Supplemental collections services on outstanding City bills. The City of Saco is seeking proposals for collections services on unpaid bills. In 2021, the City changed ambulance billing providers and retained a portion of the non-current accounts from that transfer to be placed with collections. Additionally, there are accounts with the City’s current ambulance billing company that are non-current and should be placed with collections. Finally, the City Council authorized the Finance Director to place unpaid City bills, including Personal Property, with collections after a set period of time. In total, the City is carrying 1743 unpaid bills with a balance of $968,267. Upon award of this contract, a process will be established for regular placement of bills with collections to maximize collections efforts.
