Specifications include, but are not limited to: Perform psychiatric examinations and evaluations as needed, based on referrals and consolations with facility medical provider, administrator, social services, and medical staff with approval by the medical director. Complete evaluations, which include a separated diagnostic section, legibly and in a timely manner. Provide medication evaluation and written recommendations for prescribed medication to the facility medical provider. Document that informed consents have been obtained from the residents/responsible parties. Establishing treatment plans and attend care plan meetings when requested. With seventy-two (72) hours after being notified by RVC that a resident has been designated to receive services, awarded Vendor will complete and submit a written mental health treatment plan for the resident based on his/her evaluation. All Vendor documentation will be made as part of each resident’s chart in our Electronic Medical Records (EMR)(this includes Point Click Care). Remain available for telephone consultation in the event of a psychiatric emergency at the times. Be responsible for setting up and scheduling Vendor staff for EMR (PCC) training. All representative from the service the Vendor provides must have the mandatory backgrounds checks required by the OBRA Regulations 483.13(c)(1)(ii); 483.75(b); 483.75(g)(1); 483.75(g)(2). Provide backup coverage when the Vendor is not available. Keep RVC informed of changes and development in psychiatric regulations. Monitor psychotropic medications of residents and make recommendations to medical provider. Function as a team member in an interdisciplinary setting at the RVC.
