Specifications include, but are not limited to: implement Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), an Outreach Program to potentially eligible low-income households. ; 1. Create and maintain working relationships with community-based organizations (CBOs) that serve low income individuals throughout Connecticut. 2. Create and maintain Partnerships with the Department’s SNAP Employment and Training (E&T) contractors and SNAP Nutrition Education providers to further the reach and impact of SNAP Outreach 3. Provide SNAP Outreach specialists who will visit CBOs on a schedule mutually agreed on between the Department and the contractor to provide bilingual information about SNAP and assistance with the application process 4. Assist with the application process, primarily through the use of the Department’s ConneCT online application option 5. Increase the number of eligible individuals and Families receiving SNAP benefits.
