Specifications include, but are not limited to: Supervision Services for children, in care of the Department, at a Hotel or Emergency Department setting. The Department is dedicated to promoting health, Safety, resilience, and opportunity for Maine residents. The Department’s Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS) supports Maine's children and their families by providing Children's Development, Behavioral Health, and Child Welfare Services. The need for Supervision Services is due to the increase need for unplanned, emergent, and immediate need for supervision of children in the Department’s care who have temporary stays, for various reasons and length, at an Emergency Department or Hotel. Exhibits 1 and 2 provide the breakdown of Supervision Services provided in Hotels and Emergency Departments for each District by month.
