Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall provide a certified substance abuse treatment program ("Program") in the Duvall Residential Center of the Marion County Community Corrections program. The Program design will be based on an Intensive Outpatient Level of Service as defined by the American Society of Addiction Medicine Patient Placement Criteria. Accordingly, the Program criteria will allow for the treatment of clients that: (1) are at minimal risk for severe withdrawal; (2) have no medical condition that will detract from treatment; (3) may have some emotional, behavioral or cognitive conditions that could distract treatment (these issues will need monitoring); (4) have variable levels of engagement in treatment; (5) have an ambivalence or lack of awareness of the connection of substance abuse and mental health issues as it relates to consequences; and/or (6) require a structured program to promote progress through the stages of change. The model is to be open-ended, allowing for client entry at any time, even if during the middle of a Program. The Program is to have both evening and daytime hours to accommodate the needs of the clients. The schedule is to be agreed upon by both parties. Although the specific content of each session or module of services will vary, all are to be based on cognitive behavioral principles and include didactic presentations and group discussions. Topics are to include, but will not be limited to, the physical and psychological aspects of substance abuse, stages of addiction, denial, family issues, values, self-esteem and an orientation to self-help groups. Role plays are to be utilized where possible and appropriate. Each client is to be assisted in learning the skills needed to develop and implement a plan to be alcohol and drug-free.
