Specifications include, but are not limited to: furnishing one (1) self-contained, fully equipped control enclosure that will be prefabricated offsite and installed on Owner-provided concrete piers at Lubbock Power & Light (LP&L) Vicksburg Substation. The Contractor shall also be responsible for the shipping to the location indicated in Section 2, unloading and placing on foundations, and sealing the enclosure. This enclosure will contain equipment required for the control, protection and normal operation of the substation. As such, it will contain Control and Relay panels; DC and AC panels, heating and cooling equipment and other miscellaneous items that are normally supplied with a control enclosure; and other specialized equipment that might be supplied by the Owner. The Contractor shall be responsible for all the interconnection wiring between the various pieces of control enclosure equipment. The exception to this is the external connections leading to the equipment located in the substation yard which will be performed by others. The Contractor shall provide all schematics and wiring diagrams for equipment provided as part of the control enclosure with the exception that the Owner shall provide internal wiring diagrams for the control and relay panels and interconnections. The enclosure shall have two interior Sections (control & battery Section) having specified functions and life safety and HVAC systems. The control Section will be for the substation electrical control systems, AC & DC distribution panels, and battery chargers. The battery Section shall be separated from the control Section, by a 10’-0” high sectionalizing wall with a 3’-0” wide x 8’-0” high framed walkway opening and will contain the station batteries and safety disconnect switches.
