Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contracted services to be considered in this solicitation may consist of Coaching, Professional Development, Speaking Engagements, and Training to support one or more of the following divisions: ADULT EDUCATION: Offers classes to educationally disadvantaged adults beyond compulsory school age in the Houston/Harris County metropolitan area BUSINESS SERVICES: Through the School Finance Council, HCDE’s Business Services division serves school district business managers and CFOs. HCDE’s School Finance Council provides training and pertinent information relative to school finance and business operations. CENTER FOR AFTER-SCHOOL, SUMMER AND EXPANDED LEARNING: Mobilizes the community to work together to ensure that every child in Harris County has access to an after-school program. CENTER FOR TEACHER SUCCESS: Provides professional development and instructional support to administrators, teachers, support personnel, students, parents, and the community. Trains and supports degreed professionals to become teachers and administrators. Candidates attend teacher training and teach in a public school with the guidance of an assigned teacher/ mentor. CENTER FOR SAFE AND SECURE SCHOOLS: Advances safe and secure environments in schools, including emergency operations plan assistance. HEAD START/EARLY HEAD START: Empowers preschool children, ages six weeks through five years, and their families, with school readiness skills. Head Start is a federally funded program for low-income families, administered locally by HCDE. HUMAN RESOURCES: Actively seeks candidates with a passion for education and service through employment and recruitment; compensation administration; training and development; and much more. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) SERVICES: Provides a broad range of technical services for school districts, students, parents, and the community served by HCDE. Our team consists of network analysts, systems engineers, storage specialists, application developers, systems analysts, and Service Desk technicians who provide technology planning, implementation, and support.
