Specifications include, but are not limited to: One or more vendors to provide Assistive Technology expertise and provide Assistive Technology Goods and Services over a course of multiple years. The selected Bidder will provide Assistive Information Technology hardware devices and software to individuals in the workplace and for use by the general public in State Agencies and State Offices. Timely delivery, training and support will be delivered as part of the process and will help ensure that individuals and citizens served by State Service Centers or in other State offices who have disabilities have an equal opportunity to participate in and enjoy the benefits of State employment, State programs, State services and other activities offered by the State of Maine serving employees and the public at large. Perform Assistive Technology evaluations and delivery following State request and approval procedures, including: Individualized on-site or remote evaluations with State Agency and State Office employees that have requested Assistive Technology; Public space assessments in State Service Centers and other State facilities to meet the Assistive Technology needs of State program or State service users; Recommendations of hardware and software solutions with detailed vendor costs plus markup; Communication and testing with OIT prior to deploying Assistive Technology solutions to users; Delivery, installation and configuration of State Agency or State Office-approved Assistive Technology hardware and software; and Submit a report with evaluation providing thorough justification, including: Time estimates for training on the recommended AT solution, Information on why one solution was recommended over another (if there is a comparable product); and Disclosure of any conflict of interest regarding the product they are recommending. REQ.2. Provide access to Assistive Technology manufacturers or sellers, as follows: Possess authorization/certification to sell or recommend a hardware or software solution; and Possess authorization/certification to provide or be a liaison to acquire customer support from a hardware or software vendor as needed.
