Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide a regionalpresence for the SHIINE program in the Eastern region. Duties include, but arenot limited to, recruiting, managing and retaining volunteers and partners;providing senior health insurance education; assisting Medicare beneficiaries incomparing coverage options; helping beneficiaries apply for low incomesubsidies; and reporting fraud, errors, and abuse. The state has been dividedinto 3 regions. The Department of Human Services is soliciting proposals for theEastern region. The identified counties and anticipated funding available for eachannual grant contract are:Eastern Region: up to $220,000.00 to serve the counties of Marshall, Roberts,Day, Grant, Clark, Codington, Deuel, Hamlin, Kingsbury, Brookings, Miner, Lake,Moody, Hanson, McCook, Minnehaha, Hutchinson, Turner, Lincoln, Bon Homme,Yankton, Clay, and Union.
