Specifications include, but are not limited to: An ice/drink dispensing fountain unit, fountain-mounted ice machine, and glass door merchandise refrigerators must be provided on a loan basis to the SHS Canteen for distribution of products sold by the Contractor. The dispensing fountain unit, ice machine, and refrigerators must be installed and serviced by the Contractor. In addition, this Request for Quotation (RFQ) is for fountain syrup and bottled drinks as defined below. The Contractor must provide the following equipment and supplies; 1. Equipment • One (1) eight (8) valve ice/drink dispensing fountain unit, electrical rating must be one hundred-fifteen (115) volt maximum / four (4) ampere (Amps). Equipment must be approved by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) and Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) and inspected by SHS maintenance staff prior to installation. • One (1) ice machine, preferably air-cooled, that must be mounted on top of fountain unit to allow direct dispensing of ice into a cup. Electrical rating must be one hundred-fifteen (115) volt / maximum thirteen (13) Amps. Equipment must be approved by NSF and UL and inspected by SHS maintenance staff prior to installation. • Two (2) glass door merchandise refrigerators to store twenty (20)-ounce plastic bottles of soft drinks. (Electrical rating: one hundred-fifteen [115] volt). Equipment must be approved by NSF and UL and inspected by SHS maintenance staff prior to installation. 2. Supplies • Fountain syrup in two (2) sizes of containers: One (1) container holding between two and one-half (2 ½) and three (3) gallons, and another holding five (5) gallons of product. • A minimum of eight (8) different flavors for the drink dispensing fountain unit, available for selection and approval by a designated SHS Department staff member. • A storage rack for fountain syrup containers. The size of the rack must be approved by the designated SHS Department staff member. • Soft drinks in twenty-ounce (20 oz.) plastic bottles, available for selection and approval by a designated SHS Department staff member. • Ready-Tea in eighteen and one-half ounce (18.5 oz.) plastic bottles, available for selection and approval by a designated SHS Department staff member. • 100% Juice: fruit, vegetable, and fruit-vegetable blends in fifteen-point-two-ounce (15.2 oz.) plastic bottles, available for selection and approval by a designated SHS Department staff member. • Dasani Water (or pre-approved equivalent) in twenty-ounce (20 oz.) plastic bottles. • Gatorade (or pre-approved equivalent) in twenty-ounce (20 oz.) plastic bottles. • Twenty (20) pound carbon dioxide (CO2) tanks to operate the fountain system. The CO2 tanks supplied must be secured according to State of Idaho General Safety and Health Standards.
