Specifications include, but are not limited to: Gravel road grading services will be for the 2022 - 2024 season. All work will be as needed and supplemental to Public Works in house forces. Initial road grading shall commence no later than the middle of April. Gravels will be provided by the Town of Salem and a dump truck and loader will be available on-site and as needed for contractor if applicable. Adverse weather conditions and general direction will be at the discretion of the Street Section Foreman or his designee. Contractor may also be required to provide services at different times than specified with a 24 hour notice from the Town of Salem.; Contract to be based on an hourly grading rate for a maximum of Caterpillar 140, minimum of Caterpillar 120, or equivalent, wheeled grader with an on-board gps/grading system technology for control and maintained operable at all times. Ancillary support equipment will be supplied by the Town of Salem if needed. All areas to be graded evenly and neatly with no wash boarding or excessive windrows or left over material due to improper operation or faulty equipment. The contractor will be clocked out for any/all breakdowns and/or second passes required due to poor machine performance.
