Specifications include, but are not limited to: Item #1:MANHOLE RIMS & COVERS: All materials used in manufacturing shall conform to AASHTO Standards and Made in USA. Rim and cover bearing surfaces are machined to assure close quiet fit. Rim and cover exceeds H-20-wheel load. Available with markings: SEWER, DRAIN, or PLAIN. Gray Iron Castings shall conform to the requirements of AASHTO M105. Item #2: FRAMES & GRATES: Materials are to include standard four-sided flange frames and grates and highcapacity (bicycle safe) frames and grates. Frames and grates shall be available in three sizes i.e. 8”, 6”, and 4”. All materials in manufacturing shall conform to AASHTO Standards and Made in USA. Frames and grates shall exceed H-20-wheel load and be heavy-duty. Please see the Rhode Island Department of Transportation Standards 6.3.0 and 6.3.4 attached.
