Specifications include, but are not limited to: The DelDOT Workforce Development Academy (“WDA”) is a workforce development program funded through the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF).; Multiple Service Providers may be selected to provide training throughout the state of Delaware to program participants through On-The-Job Training (OJT). Training is anticipated to begin after July 1, 2022.; The Selected Service Providers(s) will provide education, training, experience, and certifications to prepare participants for employment in the highway construction industry.; The Selected Service Providers(s) will provide education and training, to prepare participants for employment in the highway construction industry. Participants shall receive certification/licensure upon acceptable completion of all program requirements as well as those required by the state.; Selected Service Provider(s) participating in providing training for the WDA will be responsible for marketing, recruitment, and selection of participants -Program delivery, job placement assistance, and post-program follow-up.; Services shall also include conducting skills assessments to determine readiness and ability to meet minimum qualifications for entrance – To identify any barriers to entering and succeeding in construction training and/or employment.; Technical Training areas may include, but are not limited to: • Construction Safety Training; • Electrical Trades ; • Welding & Fabrication; • Heavy Equipment Operation; • On-Site Bulldozer Operator Training Program; • Digger Derrick Operator Training; • Certified Forklift Operator; • Construction Inspector
