Specifications include, but are not limited to: B. Prior to tear-off, verify that all soil pipes, flues, steel members, and other similar penetrations are secured to the building structure. Coordinate removal or securement of all unsecured penetrations prior to the start of roof demolition. C. Remove the existing roof membrane(s), base flashings and associated flashings down to the existing thermal insulation as per the drawings and required to properly install the new roofing system. D. Remove all existing base flashings, nailers, metal flashings, copings, counter-flashings, edge metal, fascia, etc. and properly dispose of. E. Remove debris from roof area and properly dispose of all materials off site. At the end of each day, clean site. ; A. Install replacement nailers/plywood where deteriorated components were removed. B. Install nailers where required to match height of roof insulation. C. Install new metal and/or wood nailers as shown on the drawings. D. Install sloped metal nailer at top of at parapet wall. E. Install plywood and gypsum board as detailed.
