Specifications include, but are not limited to: A consultant to provide services in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship for the university. The nature of this contractual relationship will also require frequent, close collaboration with many of the university’s existing programs and colleges. These include College of Health and Behavioral Sciences, College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, College of Business, Arkansas Coding Academy, EPIC Residential College, and the Center for Community and Economic Development. The University of Central Arkansas seeks to obtain a consultant. Services would include, but not be limited to: (1) To manage the personnel, equipment, and programming of the Makerspace located in UCA’s Donaghey Hall (2) To accelerate the development of new, university-related and/or university-affiliated start-ups by students, faculty, staff, and the business community; (3) To engage students and faculty in innovation/entrepreneurship programming; (4) To provide ways to enhance interaction with local businesses and startups in the state to promote UCA and our students in these endeavors; (5) To offer activities, resource guides, and programs to develop and promote innovation and entrepreneurship on campus and in the community.
