Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Houston Wellness Team is seeking the services of a fitness program with group and individual activity challenges compatible with all Fitbit manufactured devices to sync and engage with a digital platform. This platform should be accessible through web-based or smartphone application, with a leaderboard and personal dashboard illustrating participation statistics and other user specific data. Social distancing and other preventative COVID-19 regulations would need to further be supported by an online device store that allows participants to order a range of Fitbit devices for participation in the program, delivered directly to them. Specifics: From an administrative perspective, the program should have the capability for population wide and individual messaging from the administrative dashboard. On demand participation usage, reporting data, and trends should be accessible through an online administrative dashboard detailing user statistics. These reports should include but not be limited to steps, active minutes, floors, distance, and sleep time. This data is required for reporting and evaluation purposes to measure the efficacy of the program. This platform should be user specific with features designed to promote optimal holistic wellness and health habits such as, advanced sleep analytics, food and water logging, and online community engagement tools. The program should consist of daily, weekly, monthly, or other incremental activities where individuals or groups can compete for the highest average designated activity metrics (such as steps, active minutes, distance, etc.). Program features should include guided programs related but not limited to, workouts, mindfulness training sessions, recipe inspiration, stress management techniques, sleep hygiene education, and health and wellness challenges. Other necessary health metrics include breathing rate, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability analysis for overall wellness reporting. The program platform will be part of an initiative to motivate employees to become more physically active and combat both the prevalence of activity-related chronic conditions and their incidence among employees. It should incorporate specific analytical feedback for individual participants with a calculated readiness score for physical activity, based on recorded participant data. The platform will need to personalize suggested activities directly targeted to that participant’s readiness for activity, as determined from the data recorded from their Fitbit. This personalized approach will allow for health behavior changes to be incorporated through the guidance of appropriate guided programs and workouts to meet individual needs and reinforce habits for a healthy lifestyle.
