Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.2.Parking Garage Repairs3.2.1.The existing garage is situated below the building, consisting of two and one-half-supported floorsand a slab on grade. The garage was built in 1989 and has a capacity of 380 vehicles. Theparking garage is rectangular in shape, measuring approximately 340’ x 115’ and typically consistsof two parking bays. The east bay is flat while the west bay is ramped to provide traffic flowbetween the levels. The functional layout of the parking garage is a single threaded helix. Aportion of east bay extends below grade beyond the building footprint. The entrance/exit to thegarage is located on St. Paul Street. TheCondition Assessment Report,submitted to the State ofVermont by Desman Design Management in November 2018, found the structure to be in poorcondition, and that it could not be safely used for another five (5) years without major repairs. Thefollowing shall be included in the construction management firm’s scope of work:3.2.1.1.Structural Repairs:3.2.1.1.1.Cast-in-place concrete topping replacement: Removal of existing ±3”topping of the entire garage and replace with new high-quality concrete.3.2.1.1.2.Full-depth concrete slab replacement: Removal of existing cast-in-placeconcrete topping and pre-cast filigree panels.3.2.1.1.3.Beam reconstruction: Removal of existing beam, cast-in-place and pre-castconcrete, and replace with a new cast-in-place, conventionally reinforced,beam.3.2.1.1.4.Overhead and vertical repair: Remove deteriorated concrete at columns,beams and slabs and patch with a high-quality repair material.3.2.1.1.5.New traffic bearing waterproofing system.
