Specifications include, but are not limited to: Laundry and mending services for residents of State Hospital South and miscellaneous personal patient clothing and hospital-owned items of SHS located in Blackfoot, Idaho. 1. The Contractor must pick up and deliver resident/patient laundry bags from SCNF before 11:00 a.m. Mountain Time Monday (usually the heaviest day), Wednesday, and Friday of each week, excluding State holidays (State holiday list available at https://sos.idaho.gov/general/holidays.html) a. Clothing must be delivered to the Clean Linen room located on the third (3rd) floor of SCNF. b. Special arrangements must be made between the Contractor and the Department's Contract Monitor if a scheduled day falls on a holiday wherein the Contractor would normally be closed. 2. The Contractor must sort the laundry as follows: a. Hang each clothing item on a hanger, with the exception of socks, undergarments, and items that cannot be hung on a hanger. b. Bundle each resident's hanging items together and label with the resident's name. c. Bundle each resident's non-hanging items together and label with the resident's name. 3. The Contractor must launder the clothing and clothing bags using non-scented detergent.
