Specifications include, but are not limited to: A description of the work of this project can be summarized to include the complete replacement of the existing wood shake roofing shingles, exterior window caulking, and complete exterior painting of all wood trim, siding, columns, and wood detailing. The Bishop’s House was constructed in 1889 and is a contributing structure to the historic “Old Penitentiary” campus. The roof plan is complex in design with multiple roof pitches, cupolas, and sloping “fish scale” wall to roof shingles. The exterior painting will require sensitive surface preparation of existing vertical wall shingles, wood soffits, fascia, columns, and porch balustrades. It is recommended that all potential bidders participate in the Pre-Bid Conference of the project site.
