Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project on North Main Street includes a 1 ½” mill and fill of the main travel way and shoulders from curb to curb from Wilson Street to State Street. Some new curbing, mostly granite, will be installed in designated locations and sidewalk reconstruction will happen in select areas. Some areas of curb will be remove and reset with sidewalk reconstruction. The project on State Street consists of a 2” mill and fill of the main travel way and shoulders from curb to curb from Eastern Avenue to just beyond Mullen Way. A new ramp will be constructed at the Joseph Ferris Community Center (formerly Brewer Auditorium) and the sidewalks will have a 1” overlay installed on them. This project will also have a bid alternate to remove and replace all the bituminous curb in this section of roadway with slipform concrete curb. A traffic control plan will be required for paving and milling operations for both sections of roadway. The Contractor will have to submit the plan to the City of Brewer for approval. The Contractor will need to have a plan in place specifically for truck traffic. The Contractor will not be allowed to begin work until this plan has been approved.
