Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Assist APS Investigators with investigations by providing expert opinion and review of complex medical cases, including, but not limited to: identifying neglect and abuse, wound development and care, cases involving multiple diagnosis, medication issues, and injury identification. Documents will be provided to the Contractor by ADSD, and ADSD will attempt to collect any other documents, which the Contractor deems necessary. 2. Examine medical records and document findings. 3. Conduct services as soon as possible and begin analysis not later than three (3) working days from the date of request. 4. Provide ADSD with a full written report of the findings and conclusions no later than ten (10) working days from the date of request. The report should include a narrative outlining the documents examined, the procedures and the findings, as well as details of the findings and supporting documentation. Timeframe may be revised upon request and mutual agreement of both parties. 5. Contractor may be subject to subpoena if a case is criminally prosecuted or the parties pursue civil proceedings. ADSD limits the ability to pay for testimony for criminal cases only. ADSD will not pay for civil cases. Payment for testimony is subject to available funds and upon prior approval of APS Chief. 6. Submit an invoice for completed evaluations no later than (30) working days from the date of the evaluation. Invoices are to be sent to: Aging and Disability Services Division, Attention: Adult Protective Services, 3416 Goni Road, Bldg. D-132, Carson City, NV 89706. 7. Travel expenses, per diem, and other expenses must conform to the procedures and rates allowed for State officers and employees. Per diem rates are established by the General Services Administration (GSA).
