Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Bid Item 1 – Mobilization/Demobilization/Bonding and Insurance Contractor will perform all actions and operations necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies, and incidentals to and from the Site, the establishment of all necessary facilities, obtaining required permits, bonds, and insurance, submitting, and obtaining approval for all pre-construction submittals, royalties, and all other actions and operations which must be performed, or costs incurred, prior to beginning all Work not described in this Bid Item. The bid price amount for this Bid Item should not exceed 10% of the Total Bid Price shown on the Bid Form. Any Bid for which this Bid Item exceeds 10% of the Total Bid Price may be wholly rejected by Owner.; a. Movement to and from the Site of all personnel, equipment, supplies, and incidentals necessary to complete the Work.; b. Construction of temporary access ways, temporary fencing, and necessary preparatory work required to allow for the safe and stable movement of all vehicles required.; c. Establishment of all facilities necessary for the Work.; 2. Bid Item 2 – Conifer removal from approximately 129.6 acres of big sagebrush/grassland areas: This bid item includes all materials, labor, and incidentals for completion of the Work.; • Conifers designated for removal must be pulled from the ground so that roots are removed.; • All ground disturbance created by pulling the trees must be smoothed over to approximate pre-disturbance conditions.; • All coniferous trees exceeding 3 feet in height and less than 9 inches diameter at breast height (dbh) shall be removed. If trees meeting the above specifications cannot be removed by pulling, then hand tools such as a chainsaw shall be used. In this case, all live branches must be removed. Stumps created by cutting must not exceed 6 inches in height above ground surface and must be cut parallel with the ground.; 3. Bid Item 3 - Conifer removal from approximately 24 acres of quaking aspen clones • Conifers designated for removal must be pulled from the ground so that the roots are removed.; • All ground disturbance created by pulling the trees must be smoothed over to approximate pre-disturbance conditions.; • All coniferous trees taller than 2 foot in height and less than 9 inches dbh shall be removed. If trees meeting the above specifications cannot be removed by pulling, then hand tools such as a chainsaw shall be used. In this case, all live branches must be removed.
