Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Drilling methods may include but is not limited to: 3.25 inch I.D. hollow stem auger and 6 inch solid stem auger, down hole air percussion hammer in a cased boring, and rock coring. b. Sampling tools may include but is not limited to:; 3 inch O.D. by 24 inch long split tube sampler driven by a 340 pound falling weight, 2 inch O.D. by 24 inch long (SPT) split tube sampler driven by a 140 pound falling weight, and 3 inch O.D. by 60 inch long split tube continuous sampler. c. The number of test holes may be increased or decreased depending on the results of field data. d. Test hole depths will be determined by the needs of the individual project or as directed by the Engineering Geologist. e. Samples will be collected at the following depth intervals below the surface; a grab sample from immediately beneath the ground surface, 0.5-2.5 feet, 3-5 feet, 5-7 feet, 8-10 feet, 10-12 feet, and every 5 feet beyond this depth to the bottom of the test hole, or at depths required by the Engineering Geologist.
