Specifications include, but are not limited to: Street Light and Traffic Signal Maintenance. Services include, but are not limited to, furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials involved in maintaining the city’s street light system including, approximately 2,825 street lights and 25 signalized intersections; a. Furnish all labor, equipment, and materials required to maintain the City of Fairbanks street lighting system, including approximately 2,825 street lights and 25 traffic signal systems.; b. Receive specific written or verbal work orders or trouble reports from the City Engineer, Fairbanks Emergency Control Center (911 Dispatch), or the Public Works Department and respond efficiently within the time limits below: 1. Light out or cycling – Five (5) days; 2. Refractor broken or missing – Two (2) weeks; 3. Install new lights, poles, or circuitry or remove old installations – Four (4) weeks; c. Maintain trouble report and repair and material expenditure records in electronic format. A progressive billing schedule in electronic format will be required on a monthly basis, with monthly invoice.; d. The successful Bidder understands and agrees they have, by careful examination, satisfied himself as to the nature and location of the work, the character, quantity, and quality of materials to be used, the character of the equipment and facilities provided preliminary to and during the execution of the work, the general and local conditions, and all other matters that can in any way affect the work under this Contract. No verbal agreement of conversation with any employee or agent of the City, before or after the execution of the Contract, shall affect or modify any of the terms or obligations contained herein.; e. All equipment and materials furnished shall comply with applicable standards of the American National Standards institute (ANSI), National Electric Manufacturer’s Association (NEMA), Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and national and local codes unless otherwise specified. The latest edition of the National Electrical Safety Code shall be followed except where local regulations are more stringent, in which case local regulations shall govern. The successful Bidder shall give notices and comply with all laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations bearing upon the conduct of the work. The Alaska Constitution Safety Code shall be strictly enforced throughout the period of this contract. All safety measures as prescribed by these codes will be provided at the expense of the successful Bidder.
