Specifications include, but are not limited to: furnish all labor, materials, and supervision required to determine the operational status of each device of the existing Sprinkler System(s). Inspection & Testing service procedures provided by contractor shall conform to NFPA standards as adopted by 675 of the Indiana Administrative Code and any other requirements mandated by the Joint Commission Standards. 1. Optimum operating condition is defined as that level of performance which provides maximum safety to the occupants, meets applicable laws, codes, regulations, meets or exceeds the equipment manufacturers’ specifications and maximizes equipment life expectancy. 2. This includes necessary equipment such as ladders and lifts to access the various components to be inspected and tested. 3. The sprinkler system is considered to include but not limited to the following items fire department connections, valves, sensors, switches, standpipes, backflow preventers, PIV, etc. 4. Contractor to check spare heads and provide owner a list in the report of the necessary quantities and types that are needed to meet required code for spare parts. Owner will be responsible for obtaining spare heads.
