Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Waco Independent School District will be accepting electronic bids for HVAC filters & Installation Services. This Competitive Sealed Bid is being issued for the purpose of selecting a contractor to provide HVAC Filters and Installation to all Waco ISD locations.; MERV 9 Air Filter General • Air filters shall be medium efficiency ASHRAE panel filter with a crossed wire grid • or expanded metal support, and a 28 point high wet-strength beverage board • enclosing frame. • 1.2 Sizes shall be noted on drawings or other supporting materials. Construction • Filter media shall be constructed with a polyester, cotton fibrous, or synthetic media, and formed into a uniform radial pleat, or the “chandler V” pattern • A welded wire grid or expanded metal support grid (treated for corrosion resistance), shall be bonded to the downstream side of the media to maintain the pleat and prevent media oscillation. • An enclosing frame, of a 28-point high wet-strength beverage board that is bonded to the media shall provide a rigid and durable enclosure. • Filters shall be made into high capacity pleat densities of 16 pleats per linear foot, 15 and 11 for 1”, 2” and 4” depths respectively.
