Specifications include, but are not limited to: Replacement of the existing HVAC system that serves the aquarium life support room. Interior air handler and exterior condensing unit shall be replaced with an exterior ground-mounted packaged unit, ducted to the interior through the adjacent wall. Interior insulated ductwork and grilles shall also be replaced with materials that shall better withstand the corrosive environment; INSTALLATION - ABOVE GROUND PIPING A. Route piping in orderly manner and maintain gradient. Route parallel and perpendicular to walls.; B. Install piping to maintain headroom without interfering with use of space or taking more space than necessary.; C. Group piping whenever practical at common elevations.; INSTALLATION - PIPE HANGERS AND SUPPORTS A. Install in accordance with ASME 31.9 and MSS SP 58.; B. Support horizontal piping as scheduled.; C. Install hangers with minimum 1/2 inch space between finished covering and adjacent work. ; INSTALLATION A. Install identifying devices after completion of coverings and painting.; B. Install plastic nameplates with corrosive-resistant mechanical fasteners, or adhesive.; C. Identify air handling units, pumps, heat transfer equipment, tanks, and water treatment devices with plastic nameplates. Identify in-line pumps and other small devices with tags.; D. Identify piping, concealed or exposed, with plastic tape pipe markers. Use tags on piping 3/4 inch diameter and smaller. Identify service, flow direction, and pressure. Install in clear view and align with axis of piping. Locate identification not to exceed 20 feet on straight runs including risers and drops, adjacent to each valve and tee, at each side of penetration of structure or enclosure, and at each obstruction.
