Specifications include, but are not limited to: QTY Approximately 2,500 Tons; Brush and Tree Debris Chipping at the City of Grand Forks Landfill; 4. All trees and brush must be processed on a systematic basis. At the completion of the project, or upon termination of this agreement, the tree and brush storage area shall be left in a neat and orderly condition, as coordinated with the Landfill Lead Operator.; 5. The successful bidder shall have the right to enter the City Landfill for the purpose of processing tree and brush debris, during hours as approved by the Landfill Lead Operator, and shall do so in a manner which will not interfere with the operation of the landfill.; 6. All work to process and stockpile tree and brush debris, as well as regular site area maintenance shall be performed exclusively by the successful bidder, using the bidders’ own employees, equipment and tools. City operators may, if available, push up wood chippings during normal business hours.; 7. The Contractor shall provide all equipment necessary to prepare the site, feed the grinder, load, and haul chips for stockpiling, and maintaining an orderly processing site. The Contractor shall comply with all local, State, and Federal laws, rules, regulations, safety, and health requirements.; 8. The average chip size produced shall not exceed 4 inches in length, and ½ inch in diameter.; 9. Hauling/Storage: Chips to be hauled to the designated stockpile at the MSW Landfill for later use. Chips must be stored in piles no higher than 15 feet.; 10. The Contractor must be duly licensed in accordance with the State’s statutory and regulatory requirements to perform the work. The Contractor shall be responsible for determining what permits are necessary to perform under the terms of the contract, and for obtaining said permits at the bidder’s expense. Copies of all permits shall be submitted to the City within two weeks of bid award by the City Council.
