Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Utility Building and associated Sprinkler Main: 1. Provide a complete wet automatic fire sprinkler system as indicated on the drawings, hydraulically calculated to protect the utility building and utilidor to main school building, complete and in operating order. This fire protection system shall be in compliance with the contract documents, applicable codes and standards, as well as the Authority having jurisdiction. Sprinklers shall be installed throughout the project area, including outside roof canopies, and attic areas utilizing systems compatible with the specific application. The underfloor space shall remain unsprinklered, utilize enlarge remote area in accordance with NFPA 13 requirements. 2. Sprinkler system shall be independent of the existing sprinkler system and fire pump system. Sprinkler system shall connect to the existing main installed under 2018 project, which is intended to be extended as a fire protection loop to individual risers at each phased area of work or building area. B. Contractor shall modify the existing sprinkler main piping routed along utility piping. The existing copper sprinkler main and associated appurtenances shall be demolish, and replacement main line shall be installed, along with all necessary bracing and supports. The replacement piping shall be reconnected to the fire pump system; the system will be converted to be served by the water utility when all areas of the building have been remodeled and the schedule pipe has been upgrade to hydraulic node analysis.
