Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Woodbridge School District – Early Childhood Education Center – Electrical Service Replacement Project; A. Power system studies shall be performed on and include all portions of the electrical distribution system. The power system studies shall include the following: 1. Short-circuit analysis with protective device evaluation 2. Protective device time-current coordination analysis 3. Arc flash hazard analysis B. The power system studies shall begin at the overcurrent protective device ahead of the new pad-mounted transformer, to the 208Y/120V main switchboard (MSB) and continue through the 208Y/120V distribution systems to the new branch panelboards. C. The short-circuit analysis shall, at a minimum, include determining the available fault current at the following equipment: 1. Service equipment in accordance with NEC Article 110.16(B). 2. Switchboards and panelboards in accordance with NEC Article 408.6. 3. Air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment in accordance with NEC Article 440.10. D. The arc flash hazard analysis shall be per the requirements set forth in the current version of NFPA 70E – Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace, and shall be performed according to the latest edition of IEEE Standard 1584, the IEEE Guide for Performing ArcFlash Calculations.
