Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to engage the services of a professional engineering firm to provide the services necessary to upgrade the drainage system in two areas of town described below. In these areas, sinkholes have been developing and existing records of the existing drainage system are inadequate to determine where the drains are located and what might be causing the sinkholes. The purpose of this work is to locate the existing drainage system and design improvements to eliminate future sinkholes. The work will include: • Determine the location of existing drain lines in the two areas of the Town, • Provide a survey of the two identified areas. The survey should be limited to the areas where drainage infrastructure exists and areas where proposed drainage may be added. • Determine what drains are adequate and which drains need to be replaced and if any new drainage should be installed. • Recommend a replacement strategy for the drains to be replaced or any new recommended drains and provide design plans for the new items.
