Specifications include, but are not limited to: To assist the Montana Natural Heritage Program (MTNHP), a program of the Montana State Library (MSL), with its statutory responsibility for the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of information documenting Montana’s flora, fauna, and biological communities (MCA 90-15-102), MSL is requesting bids from qualified individuals and/or organizations with expertise in data products, including range polygons, predicted habitat suitability models, and other data products requiring advanced expertise for Montana’s vascular plants. This information is needed to update and maintain comprehensive databases on Montana’s plants, animals, and biological communities that natural resource managers use for environmental review, planning, and permitting processes across Montana. The purpose of this project is to develop value-added data products for vascular plants, including range polygons and predicted habitat suitability models for vascular plant species, so that these data products can be incorporated into the MTNHP data system and made readily available to natural resource managers on MTNHP web applications.
