Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1. Steward / Crew Chief – Responsible for the on-site direction and coordination of all Local Crew. Serves as main contact for the Production Management Personnel as well as the event’s Tour Manager. Often the person responsible for scheduling, staffing, checking-in/out employees for the event, and invoicing. 1.2. Riggers – Handles event rigging and typically employs chain hoists, truss systems and point spotting to temporarily suspend objects from overhead. 1.2.1. Head Rigger – Calculates structural stress and rigging points in conjunction with the event and oversees the work and safety of the other Local Crew riggers. 1.2.2. Up Rigger – Works in the locations grid to install and remove all rigging points. 1.2.3. Down Rigger – Works on the floor, assembling chains and cables and then sending it up to the up riggers on ropes. 1.3. Follow Spot Operator – Runs spotlights
