Specifications include, but are not limited to: A Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC) to assist the Department during design development and ultimately construct the Airport Way/Cushman Street Intersection Reconstruction project (Project). The Project will reconstruct Airport Way between Barnette Street and Noble Street and along Cushman Street between Gaffney Road and 15th Avenue. Intersection improvements include additional and enhanced turn lanes, a new traffic signal, and ADA improvements. Work also includes utility relocations, building demolition, contaminated soils handling and disposal, and landscaping. The intersection is one of the top 5 highest volume intersections in Fairbanks and has the highest number of non-motorized crashes within the FAST Planning area.
