Specifications include, but are not limited to: CONSULTANT RESPONSIBILITIES: TASK 1 PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES: Description: Activities prior to on-site construction activities. Task includes Project familiarization; project records/files setup; initial communications with Construction Contractor, stakeholder user groups, airport manager, Maintenance & Operations; preliminary meetings with the Department, user groups, preconstruction conference; Submittal review/ approval, processing of design clarifications. This task includes the cost of office supplies for project office setup. (EXCLUDES Field office setup and field lab setup 2 weeks prior to Construction on-site Work---which will be billed in Construction Administration Task); CONSULTANT RESPONSIBILITIES: TASK 2 ON-SITE CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION: This task encompasses all duties required to administer the on-site Work of the contract -- from 2 weeks prior to On-Site construction (field office setup), for the duration of the Construction Contractor’s on-site work schedule (through Project Completion). Due to the unknowns of the actual construction schedule, including the duration of overall construction performance, as well as any differing site conditions, this task will be billed and reimbursed as actual time and expenses.; Field Office and field lab set-up. Time and expenses incurred during the two weeks prior to the Construction Contractor s’ on-site construction start is allowed for the set-up of on-site project facilities.; CONSULTANT RESPONSIBILITIES: TASK 3 PROJECT CLOSEOUT: Submit all project records, including record “As-Built” drawings, and Final Closeout package in the Department’s standard format to the PM after project completion. Submitted records should be complete and accurate according to the Alaska Construction Manual. Make corrections when notified by QA Engineer and resubmit the records and a final estimate for the Project at the appropriate time; ALL records shall be turned in to the Department for retainage by the Department.
