Specifications include, but are not limited to: replacement of a 4’ corrugated metal culvert with a pipe arch with a clear span of 81 inches and a height of 59 inches on Farm Road in West Windsor, as described in the attached hydraulic study. The invert should be buried 2 feet, resulting in a clear height of 2.9 feet above streambed. Bed retention sills should be 12 inches high at the inlet and outlet of the structure, 6 inches high in the center, and spaced no more than 8 feet apart. The structure should be filled level to the streambed with E-stone, Type II. ; The project is located in a mapped floodplain and includes tree removal, temporary stream diversion, roadway and stream bank stabilization, and erosion control. The contractor is responsible for surveying the stream profile at least 100’ upstream and downstream from the culvert to ensure that the new culvert is installed at the proper slope and elevation.
