Specifications include, but are not limited to: Said Proposal shall include all labor, tools, implements, machinery, materials, and any incidentals necessary to complete the work in the manner and time prescribed, and in strict conformity with the Contract Documents to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. In general, the major work items include, but are not necessarily limited to: Seismic upgrade of the 17-story (16 true-stories) Reno City Hall facility, consisting of installation of diagonally placed viscous dampers from Floors 7 through 16 in various locations of the building; improving steel column bolted splice plates on several floors; strengthening steel beams with plates near damper installation locations; asbestos abatement of existing fire proofing to gain access to column and beam elements; relocation of portions of the perimeter induction heating/cooling radiators to accommodate the dampers; application of new plaster and spray fire proofing to columns and beams elements; removal and rebuilding various metal stud walls; replacing walls and ceilings; and removing and replacing light fixtures.
