Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1 All cabling and termination to be minimum of Cat 6A 1.2 Provide a 20ft service loop above ceiling in room location. 1.3 Terminate with a “biscuit” jack above ceiling of room location 1.4 Terminate into a fully populated Keystone Patch Panel in MDF/IDF 1.5 All network cabling to be labeled per the district standards. 1.6 All cables to be white in color 1.7 Cable and cable bundles will not be attached to any electrical wiring or light fixtures, nor will its deflection allow it to come in contact with ceiling grids, HVAC mechanical controls, fluorescent light fixtures, or drainage line piping. The use of “J” hooks is the preferred means to avoid any of the above examples. “J” hooks should be fastened as high as possible so as not to interfere with any other building wiring or system. 1.8 Use of loop-and-hook (Velcro) type fasteners is the preferred method to bundle together cables that are visible or below a false ceiling. If plastic tie wraps are needed to attach cable bundles to anchors, then tie wraps should be left loose fitting. Also, tie wraps should not be used on cable bundles exceeding 48 cables. 1.9 Category 6A Plenum cables will be installed for all interior Environments. 1.10 The Contractor will provide a complete and final location table and spreadsheet indicating all jack locations. The Contractor will be responsible for updating MISD wiring documentation. Cable installations on existing frames will be documented.
