Specifications include, but are not limited to: The South Dakota Department of Health (SDDOH) Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS) is soliciting proposals for the provision of purpose of Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP). The purpose is to provide education to young people on both abstinence and contraception to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV/AIDS. PREP projects must replicate effective, evidence-based program models or substantially incorporate elements of effective programs that have been proven on the basis of scientific research, to change behavior. Program elements must include to delay sexual activity, increase condom or contraceptive use for sexually active youth, reducing the number of partners, and reduce pregnancy and STIs among youth.
