Specifications include, but are not limited to: DPBHS is seeking a contracted Substance Use Disorder (SUD) training coordinator, to be referred to as SUDTC, to develop a curriculum of core learning fundamentals on the screening, identification, and treatment of substance use disorders among Delaware’s youth. The SUDTC must have expertise is the assessment and treatment of substance use disorders in adolescents and experience providing training to others. SUDTC will develop a series of training opportunities to allow behavioral health professionals to earn recognition as a DPBHS SUD trained behavioral health professional. SUDTC may facilitate these trainings themselves or identify, organize, and coordinate with other experts to provide the trainings needed to deliver the curriculum. The curriculum will include a focus on screening, assessment and intervention for youth engaging in substance use or have co-occurring MH disorders. The goal is to strengthen these skills among our service providers to properly identify, diagnose and treatment SUD.
