Specifications include, but are not limited to: Section 1.03: Services to be Rendered, Hours of Operation.: (a) Upon the request of the CITY as hereinafter defined, the CONTRACTOR shall tow any vehicle located in the CITY in the manner provided in this contract. Upon request of the CITY the CONTRACTOR shall also tow or move any other object in the CITY that is reasonably capable of being towed or moved with the CONTRACTOR's towing equipment. The following city employees may make such requests for the CITY while on duty and acting in their official capacity: (1) Police officers; (2) The city manager and assistant city manager; (3) The director of public works or his designee; (4) The fire chief or his designee; (5) The harbormaster or his designee; (6) Such other officers or employees as the city manager designates.; (b) The CONTRACTOR shall store the vehicles and other objects described in subsection (a) of this section at the request of the CITY. All such storage shall comply with all applicable zoning, building and other laws.; (c) The CONTRACTOR shall also store any vehicle or other property that the CITY delivers for storage to the CONTRACTOR's storage facility. All such storage shall comply with all applicable zoning, building and other laws.; (d) The CONTRACTOR's hours of operation during which CONTRACTOR's towing services under this section shall be available twenty-four (24) hours per day and seven (7) days per week. ; Section 1.04: Towing Equipment and Related Services.: (a) The CONTRACTOR shall furnish all vehicles, equipment, personnel, materials and storage areas necessary to perform the services described in this contract in a timely and proper manner. Each towing vehicle shall be equipped with appropriate tools and equipment necessary to legally render the services to be provided under this contract and as the Contract Administrator may require.; (b) The CONTRACTOR shall respond to all calls from the CITY for towing and related services as promptly as is feasible, and in any event within thirty (30) minutes after any call received between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00p.m., and within forty-five (45) minutes after any call received between 6:00p.m. and 8:00a.m.; (c) The CONTRACTOR shall equip all towing vehicles with two-way radios to communicate with the CONTRACTOR's dispatch facility.; (d) At any time the CONTRACTOR is called to an accident site the CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for the cleaning and/or removal of all debris left or caused by the accident. It shall be up to the CONTRACTOR to add the price of such cleanup service to the towing bill.; (e) Any vehicle which is to be removed as an abandoned vehicle under KMC 9.60.060 and 9.60.065 shall be towed during the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Mondays through Fridays, unless the CITY directs otherwise.; Section 1.05: General Storage Facility.: (a) No vehicles or other property impounded under this Agreement shall be impounded, kept, or stored at any location other than the CONTRACTOR's lot at_ , and then only on the property of the CONTRACTOR and in conformity with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules and regulations of the city, borough, state or federal agencies. Vehicles or other property impounded under this Agreement shall not be impounded, kept, or stored on any public or private right-of-way. It shall be cause for termination of this agreement if the CONTRACTOR owns, operates, uses or has an interest in any real estate on which vehicles, junk, trash, or other materials are illegally stored, regardless of whether such vehicles, junk, trash, or materials were towed, impounded or placed on the real estate pursuant to this or any other agreement with the CITY.; (b) The CONTRACTOR shall store all vehicles or other property it receives under this contract within the storage facility established under subsection (a) of this section, provided however it may store vehicles or other property on a temporary basis at such other locations as the CONTRACTOR determines to be safe and appropriate to provide efficient and effective service under this contract, provided that such storage conforms to all applicable laws, ordinances, rules and regulations of the city, borough, and state or federal agencies.
