Specifications include, but are not limited to: The selected Applicant will conduct a preliminary inspection of the NHH Acute Psychiatric Facility and any other New Hampshire Hospital building(s) identified by the Department, with the Department to identify areas in need of repairs to existing firestop systems, and to specify and quantify necessary firestop materials to be provided by the Department. The selected Applicant will install firestop systems in locations to be determined in consultation with the Department, which may include, but are not limited to, Penetrations through fire and/or smoke rated floor and roof assemblies requiring protected openings, including both empty openings and openings that contain penetrations; Penetrations through fire and/or smoke rated wall assemblies including both empty openings and openings that contain penetrations; Membrane penetrations in fire and/or smoke rated wall assemblies where items penetrate one side of the barrier Joints in fire and/or smoke rated assemblies that allow independent movement; Perimeter of the horizontal fire and/or smoke rated assembly and exterior wall between a rated floor/roof and an exterior wall assembly that is not fire-resistance rated; and Joints, through penetrations and membrane penetrations in smoke barriers, smoke partitions and those assemblies required to limit, restrict or retard the passage of smoke. The selected Applicant will provide labor to seal penetrations and joints in fire and/or smoke rated assemblies in accordance with UL Listed Systems for through penetrations and construction joints. Materials will be provided by the Department with fire resistance ratings that have been determined by testing (ASTM E-814) in the configurations required and which have fire-resistance ratings at least as high as that of the fire and or smoke rated assembly in which they are to be installed. These materials must be HILTI® Certified Products, or an equivalent permitted product, to be determined by the Department.
