Specifications include, but are not limited to: Vendor shall provide a large laundry bag for all employees to put their dirty laundry in. When needed, one miscellaneous bag shall be provided for laundering of the table skirts (not related to a DPW employee).; The awarded vendor shall pick up the dirty laundry, in the vendor-provided bag one day/week (to be agreed upon by the vendor and Town).; The vendor shall wash and fold the laundry off-site and return the folded laundry in a clean bag to DPW. The service does NOT include ironing.; The awarded vendor shall return the clean laundry the following business day. Public Works is open Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. If the delivery or pick-up day falls on a holiday or if inclement weather (blizzard, etc.) prevents the vendor from coming on the set day, the vendor must work out an alternate day that week with the Director of Public Works, or his designee. Laundry service must be provided once/week with no exceptions as each employee is provided with a minimum number of uniform items.; The awarded vendor shall weigh the clean laundry and shall note the weight (by the pound) on slips to be provided to DPW for recordkeeping. Slips must be provided for every delivery. The Town is not responsible for paying for undocumented laundry.; The types of clothing included in this service are: work jeans, denim shorts, tee shirts (long and short sleeved), reflective shirts (long and short sleeved), sweatshirts (hooded and crew neck) as well as trade show 6’ long black table skirts (on occasion).
