Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Rhode Island Airport Corporation is ready to embark upon a complete interior design refresh to be phased over the next 5 years to develop an architectural character that reflects the Rhode Island culture and history of the communities within our state. The architectural flooring, walls, column covers, ceiling and lighting treatments in all public spaces will be designed with color, patterning and elements that evoke Rhode Island’s natural coastal features and unique sense of place. The scope of this project requires the selected firm to create a complete existing conditions architectural set of drawings in Revit of all public areas on the landside and airside of the terminal. Some drawings will be available in CAD software, and will be provided, however site scanning of the building will be required to update and validate current existing conditions. The selected firm will then review the initial Thematic Design from a previous study, and establish an approach to develop a series of design options leading to a preferred concept and delivery of a 15% design set of documents (approximately 20 sheets), 5 renderings, material sample boards, design narrative, outline specifications, and preliminary cost estimates articulated by location and finish.
