Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent of this RFP is to procure evaluation services to support specific areas of activities within the Environmental and Occupational Health Program, specifically: Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention The Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Unit implements evidence-based primary prevention activities funded by the Lead Poisoning Prevention Fund (LPPF) to prevent Childhood Lead Poisoning through Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) in High Risk Areas and engagement in Statewide activities. The LPPF activities evaluated under this RFP will determine the degree to which local systems have changed and document the processes by which change occurs, obtain recommendations on future directions for Adaptation plans for future LPPF activities. Climate and Health Maine’s Climate and Health initiative focuses broadly on supporting Maine residents and communities to become resilient to the health effects of a changing climate, achieved through the development and implementation of Adaptation Actions related to extreme temperatures and pollen exposures. The evaluation services for Climate and Health activities shall include collaborating with the Department in the development, implementation, ongoing maintenance, and dissemination of findings from the Department’s Climate and Health Evaluation Plan. In addition, the awarded Bidder shall provide support for the development and implementation of the Department’s specific Adaptation Action and Evaluation Plans (AAEPs).
